Frequently Asked Questions — Evolutions & Stride Mechanics
What is an Evolution Chain and how do I chain upgrades without invalidating a card?
An Evolution Chain is the process of submitting a player into an initial evolution, completing it to upgrade their attributes, and subsequently submitting that upgraded card into a second evolution. To avoid disqualification, verify that the first evolution does not push any attribute beyond the second evolution's strict maximum caps (such as Max Overall, Max Pace, or Max Playstyles+).
Can an evolution change a player's AcceleRATE archetype?
Yes! Because evolutions provide large boosts to Strength, Agility, and Acceleration, they can alter the difference between Strength and Agility. For example, boosting a 188cm CB's Strength to 85 while keeping Agility at 70 widens the gap to +15, converting their AcceleRATE archetype from Controlled to Pure Lengthy.
What happens if an evolution provides a boost that exceeds the 99 attribute limit?
All attributes are strictly clamped at 99 in the EA FC match engine. Any surplus points beyond 99 are disregarded.
